CALLING ALL
CHOIR MEMBERS & SINGERS
All COGICFAS choir members, we are restarting the choir. Members who feel led to be a part of this ministry are invited to attend the first rehearsal on Sunday, July 10th immediately after morning worship. Important things to reflect on when joining the choir are: Singing in the Bible is not a suggestion, it is a directive from God. We glorify God when we sing. So a firm commitment and a heart of Grace is expected. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16) 2. You Plant Deep Roots in the Word When You Sing. Because of this it is important that you are spiritually healthy and strong. It will be expected that you attend Bible Study, Prayer Service, and/or Sunday School so that you remain spiritually strong and healthy. As Colossians 3 tells us, we are instructed to allow the Word of Christ to inhabit us richly, and one way is to sing in worship. 3. You Strengthen Yourself Spiritually When You Sing in Worship. There is power in prayer and in worship, and the Bible shows us that worship amplifies that. We often think of singing solely when we’re pleased and things are going well. However, Acts 16 mentions singing for strength in times of difficulty.
Sunday Morning Prayer
Start your Sunday morning off right, in prayer with the Prayer Ministry at 9:00am.
Sunday School
You are cordially invited to study God’s Word in Sunday School at 9:30am.
Sunday Worship Service, 10:45am
Pastor Robert reminds everyone to make every effort to be at church in time for Sunday morning worship prayer at 10:45am. We are urged to run to God in prayer with bold confidence, knowing that God hears our prayers. Prayer ushers us into the throne room of God. There’s power in our acknowledgement that He is worthy. Pastor challenges each of us to step out of our busy lives and to truly focus our hearts on Christ. No matter what is happening in our lives, let's make Christ our first priority. Prayer changes situations. It can move the heart of God. Prayer allows us to understand our situations rather than affect the outcome. Our hearts change as we seek God’s wisdom and Truth. Prayer invites us to step out of our daily lives and brings us into God’s presence.
Prayer at 10:45am will now be the beginning of our morning worship. The request is that you arrive early to be prepared at 10:45am to have an experience with the Holy Spirit like no other. If you can, make every effort to come out on faith to in-person worship.
